Coronavirus Information

The Coronavirus is a growing concern for all Namibians, and we at Namdeb Medical Aid Scheme are working hard to ensure that our members are healthy and safe, and have complete peace of mind during this trying time.

Please take note of the following:

  • The CDC has set up a toll-free hotline, which you can phone should you be showing symptoms of Covid-19, or should you wish to report a suspected case: 0800 100 100.
  • Namdeb Medical Aid Scheme members are covered for two (2) telephonic consultations with a doctor.
  • The Namdeb Medical Aid Scheme administrator, Prosperity Health, is no longer accepting cash payments at their offices, in order to curb the spread of the virus. Kindly make payments via EFT or Bank Deposit, and send the proof of payment via email.
  • Prosperity Health also encourages that you do not come into their offices in person, but rather direct queries to phone or email, in order to limit physical contact and promote social distancing.
  • Should you wish to get tested for Covid-19, you would need to have a doctor's referral, which will need to be issued following the necessary guidelines as set out by eh NICD and MoHSS, in order for the test to be covered by your scheme benefits (subject to remaining day-to-day benefits).

Please see our Covid-19 Newsletters and Information, for all the information we have at this time with regards to Coronavirus in Namibia.
